The time when a watch was a pair of hands and a strap is over. Since 2016, Xplora's smartwatches have undergone a rapid development across several models. Today we are left with one of the market's most advanced smartwatches for children. Xplora's smart watches are robust and intended for children who play. They are therefore water-resistant and can be used in all kinds of stormy weather - it is still recommended to take the watch off when showering, bathing, or otherwise playing in water.

The products' core functions
Calls and messages on the child's first mobile phone
With Xplora's own SIM card, which is pre-installed when you buy a watch, you are quickly connected to the outside world. The child gets their own phone number and the calls take place directly via the watch's built-in microphone and speaker, where the child easily makes and receives calls by navigating the watch's screen.
The smartwatch can also receive text messages via chat, where the child can also reply with pre-written texts, emojis and voice messages.

Approved contacts
Parents can approve up to 50 contacts with whom the child can communicate via the smartwatch. This means that the child cannot establish contact with anyone other than those you want, and no unauthorized person can contact the child via the smartwatch. Without access to the internet and social media, we also limit the child's access to both inappropriate content and contact with unauthorized persons.

GPS with safe zones
With Xplora's GPS function, you can easily follow when your child is out playing. You can also create safe zones in the Xplora app, which will notify you when the child arrives or leaves the safe zone. In this way, you give the child freedom and the parents security!

School mode
Schools often have strict restrictions on the use of private tablets and smartphones during school hours. Xplora's smart watches therefore come with a smart function called school mode, which locks the display on the watch during the time the child must be in the classroom and focus on their tasks there. When school mode is activated, the smart watch only functions as a regular watch, showing the time, and thus does not constitute a distraction during class or recess!

Xplora's activity platform
This is Xplora's own activity universe - where children can participate in super cool campaigns with the smart watches by being active. With the built-in pedometer, the child can monitor their own activity at all times. A real motivation to be in motion! The steps are then converted into a fictitious currency called Xplora Coins, which can be spent on age-appropriate content on the activity platform.
The coins can also be shared between the children's watches and yourself, so in this way the family can collectively save up for something they want from the activity platform, where you regularly find new exciting and cool items.
We have close cooperation with, among others, Universal Studio and Warner Bros, and can boast of previous campaigns such as Tom & Jerry, Boss Baby, Dora the Explorer, Space Jam and Peter Rabbit. Through the campaigns, your children can also help change the world via our sustainable projects that the children can participate in. We have, among other things, planted new trees and given water to children who need this through UNICEF. It is not without reason that our vision is play to move the world!
The total number of steps is counted per year, and is reset to zero every 1 January. Until then, users are awarded medals based on how much activity they have been in. You start with the Iron medal after 50,000 steps, and can then work your way up to Black Diamond Plus after a full 4,000,000 steps - so all you have to do is initiate!

Camera, backgrounds and ringtones
Our smartwatches come with a camera that can be used for video and photos. You can save more than 1,000 images which can then be used as a background to put a personal touch on the smartwatch! There's also a cool video camera in the smartwatches – so kids can capture the small but magical everyday moments! Xplora follows the GDPR regulations, so you don't have to worry about storage or the images ending up on the internet.
With the digital clock, the child can keep track of the time himself, or practice learning the clock if needed! The watch comes with different types of time displays, with option for both analog and digital dials, as well as a variety of catchy ringtones.
Xplora's Smart Parent App
With the Xplora app, you manage the entire watch and have control over many of the above-mentioned points and functions. Both the watch and the parent app can be connected to WiFi, which is highly recommended to keep the watch up-to-date with what is always the latest software update.
